Firefox Add-ons – best of
Friday, July 13th, 2007 in Tools of the tradeIf you are like myself, than you considered a long time ago that Firefox is the tool you need when it comes to web browsers. I used to be an IE user, but that was at least 5 years ago. What I like the most is the easy way you can install addons and that you can find A LOT of those. Well, below you can find the Firefox add-ons that are a must if you are a developer (at least in my opinion).
1. Web Developer is fantastic! It adds a toolbar that gives you a lot of choices like disabling CSS styles, JavaScript, page cache, it shows you page validation and a lot of other stuff that you need. You gonna love it!
2. Before using Firebug I used to check the response headers for web pages with HTTP Debugger. What Firebug brings is far better. You can check your JavaScript errors, change the page layout (only in your browser) and a lot of other things. This is also a must for a developer.
3. Serp EasySurf is a tool that I like to use because it’s very comfortable. What it mainly does is showing the SERP position in Google, Yahoo and MSN. It’s very useful to track changes in your SERP position. Besides that, it offers an easy to use drop down to change your preference about how many results you want to see on a page and some hot key features.
4. When I surf the internet, I find a lot of things that I like/need. What better way to keep track of it if not by using Google Notebook extension for Firefox? It is simply great giving the fact that during the day I work on different computers and by bookmarking the pages I only make them accessible on the machine I currently am. This helps me keep all the information in one place, accessible from anywhere.
Well, for the moment these all the extensions I use with Firefox. If you know other useful extensions, please share them.
