This is covered in MT's KnowledgeBase <a href="http://kb.mediatemple.net/questions/514/Enabling+PEAR+by+setting+your+open_basedir+and+include_path" rel="nofollow">here</a>. After you do this, to add additional PEAR modules, follow what I did and it should work. As I said, I'm not a guru in this, I just searched info and tried on my own. If what I did doesn't work for you, I'm afraid I can't be of any help. As I said before, look out for typos, it took me quite a while to discover them and make this work. Good luck.
